I know I am not at IRR a lot, but per request of Vic will post pictures of progress on my truck. Last Nov 2010 I cracked both stock magnum 5.9 heads near the intake/exhaust valve guides. It broke my heart, but at least I was able to drive it onto the trailer. So next day got home and this is how she looked all together in the engine bay. Started tearing into the engine that afternoon. Then life got in the way by having to move my disabled father, and sell off some old project cars. So after a 3 month delay I finally got my hands on a engine hoist. Then got to pulling the engine the next day. "] Looks like I am missing something. Engine on the engine stand awaiting to show me its dirty little secret that's going to cost me more. Now the ugly, WARNING if you have a weak stomach or have kids near by turn away. So as of now trying to make money and find a job ha ha in this economy. Only been 2 1/2 years unemployed. So doing side work here and there to pay bills and stick a few bucks to the side for the build. I already have for the build Edelbrock heads, arp head studs, 1.6 ratio roller rockers, upgraded beehive springs and valve train components plus a blower friendly cam. Plus upgraded to a 4 bbl intake vs the 2bbl I had. Still need to get the engine to the machine shop(when funds allow) to put some forged slugs into it. Clean up the bores, install some H beam rods and arp hardware. Also studding the mains while its down there. So once this build is done you will see this lead sled at IRR once again. Should run a tick faster then the stock long block with a supercharger on it. LOL I am willing to take monetary donations, parts or canned food goods.LOL I am willing to fly your sponsors on my truck as well.

Update on my ventures. Drove up and picked up the engine at the FL/GA border Saturday. After a 5 1/2 hour drive got home, and came to the conclusion I forgot my house keys. My family was out and up in Port Charlotte. So needless to say I sat in my front yard with my engine till 11:30 pm. Boy that sucked. lol Next day bolted the engine up on the stand. All that is left on my to do list: 1) Order/install new lifters 2) Install head studs 3) Install Cometic head gaskets 4) Paint the block/heads black 5) Install fuel system which should be here any day now 6) Order/install 65 lb injectors 7) Clean up a few minor details in the engine bay 8) Install engine 9) Load tune and get a feel for the truck 10) Head out to IRR with the truck and hear Mopar Vic's voice coming over the track speakers.

Thanks Vic on the comments about the oil pan, I am quite fond of it myself. Now a dirty update on getting the ol hag back up and running. Got my fuel system yesterday, and work was slow today. So I thought hey lets go out in the garage weather is 88 degrees with a 15 mph breeze. So I went out there and pondered what I could get into trouble with seeing I have so many options now, Engine, frame, wiring, fuel system. Then a light bulb went off, and out came the old stock fuel system. Easier said than done, and on fail scale I would say it ranks a solid 7 removing the crap. So pulled some excess not needed old exhaust hangers and heat shields. Than said some bad words while removing the tank. Now with my complete displeasure of this task I went back to my childish side and showed it how I felt. Washed the tank out and now its drying. If work is slow tomorrow I might have another update on installing the new pump and basket and routing some fuel lines yay. I keep telling myself this all leads up to the big day of firing her back up. Granted it seems worlds away

A not so exciting update today on the truck. Though I did get something done, and off the check list. Wasn't feeling the drive to crawl under the truck today and install the fuel system. So instead sanded down and polished up the used fuel rails I purchased. 2 hrs worth of work for it to be purdy. Original condition Sanded down condition Polished back up condition
